Easy or not newbies in particular do not read the thread or take warnings on site seriuosly, this results in virtually ever week some poor soul loosing their licence or getting a large ticket.
Impressing on them at the start of the ride how militant the cops are on this particular ride would go a long way towards stopping the tears.

I would be very careful what you say and who to on this thread. To enlighten you, Blackbuell is one of my main senior riders and has been doin the ATNR more times than yourve probably had head. I would advise an apology otherwise stay clear of the ATNR. We have been doin these rides long enough without a learner trying to tell us all about it.

Hmmm just goes to show how many people read the thread PROPERLY eh? As myself and the senior riders on the ATNR have many-a-times expressed, you speed at your own risk! Its called LOGIC

Apologies for missing out on what sounds like another ride annoyingly stalked by the coppers. Probaly wont be there this week either, gonna save my arse/bike/energy for the big ride up north on Saturday. Anyone is welcome to tag along for the ride but do so at your own RISK. Im not gonna hang around and clean up after ya like I am consistantly doin on the ATNR. If you cant ride at 100-120kms without being a dick or at even that speed, stay home. S I M P L E

What we really should do, is find a cop car and have 30 bikes just follow it around for awhile (After making sure everyones Rego ect is current)
Freedom to ride where we feel, it just "happens" to be the same roads as a cop is on.

Prob not a bad idea. They like to follow us around, so why not play at their game? I dont think there is anything they could do about it.

Seuoooooo Log onto forums at www.PolicePatrol.co.nz to look for patrol/cruise threads, then organise it on KB?

But the cops are watching KB, so they'd follow the group that follows the cops that follows the bikes and ....

    The mind boggles!

And hell, it would be funny.
Espially if someone brings a camera to show the speed the cop car is doing, ie are they speeding ?
It'd be worth the tickets to match speed with the cop car.
Then publish it to the media and use the money to pay the fines and a shout at the pub.

Collective attitudes dictate the coppers will be there again this week.
