Are The GSXR1000 K's the new Harley's?

This is part of the point I'm trying ta get across here. With the number of brake downs dealing mainly with the New GSXR K's, we no long have the right to poke fun at HD's. In fact maybe they should be poking fun at the GSXR's instead.

Is it the greater number of GSXR's out there or are the producers being slack with quality control?

Maybe its the owners lack of mantaince? or way they put the bike back together?

Kevin's Wire loom problem was a sloppy assembly problem. It was blowing fuses from the day he picked it up. Some of the other problems could be due to trying ta make the bike too light.

Of all my bikes, different brands etc my gixxers have been the most reliable and they get abused a fair amount.

Wouldnt happen on my Mighty Honda NC30 as guess what!?

They come with Radiator gaurds not like these modern heaps of shit breaking down in the middle of no where cause of a little itty bitty stone

Hardly comparable - does your HD put out 265HP per litre ?

It would have to rev past 350 RPM to get anywhere near that.

Hmmm, my K5 has a rad guard. Doesn't mean it won't get holed though. Depends what hits it and how hard.
The Mighty NC30 would rather blow a rectifier and break down in the middle of nowhere

Everything has its problems as nothing is perfect, but a few isolated different cases, does not make something unreliable.

apart from a hole in my radiator on my K6 1000 by a stone the size of a marble at 2XXkm/h I have had no problems with either my K6 1000 or my old K5 600... But... saying that I have heard of issues with K5/6 1000 clutches slipping... but I have yet to experience that myself
