All of them are undeniably cute and will be ready to come home in about a month (and once I decide which ones I want, they WILL be there when I go to collect them!)

So votes please, and if anyone has any cool names in mind, let me know too!

kittens5 - black and white female

Ooh, ooh! The second pic is the cutest combination! And tabby males are LOVELY!

And how about Salt & Pepper for names?

Pick the 2 in pic 4. Bob (cat) and Tom (cat) - they'll only come when they're hungry so the names won't make much difference!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Always get male cats. There is a number of reasons for this. Number 1 is convenience for you; you don't have to worry about her having kittens!

Secondly, neutered male cats have much more docile personalities. You don't get the very `catty' female cat personality and you don't get the mad territorial male cat personality, as the poor bastard has no balls. Neutered male cats, in my experience, seem to be far more friendly and loving than other sorts.

I'd personally go for the grey/black tabby... looks like my little creature (who's just a wee bit bigger than when that photo was taken). Here he is: Click image for larger version.

Aw, man that is one cute kitten! Our 18 month-old cat looks a lot like that, but a bit more orange/brown.

All will be neutered, male or female, so that's one less worry. My husband says male cats are friendlier but I've only ever had female cats and both have been really friendly and smoochy, so who knows.

My husband wants to look at them before we make a final decision but I am pretty keen on the two in shot four... and perhaps another one as well!

How many depends on how big your head is and how long you want to wait for the hat.

tippy, our other boy, was chucked over our fence 2 new years ago and is the most loving little thing! sits on your shoulder, comes to say hi when you get up.

Take the ones that are quickest to purr, and quickest to settle in your arms. Colour doesn't matter.

There are actually five kittens - the fifth is a pure white one and I prefer the darkies myself! I'm still keen on the tabby and white male and the grey/black and white female, although Andy likes the black and white splodgy one! Who knows, three may find a home yet!

Took our adopted family to the vet today and find what I thought was an infected scratch is ringworm, bugger.Otherwise he says mother and kittens are fine, not bad for a stray. And we have 3 male kittens,so much for our ideas. We have had them on the floor for 3 days and they are really getting around, starting to play together.

But what to do with them? The vet says he can place the fluffy one,but I like him as he has a different looking face and looks up at things, not down like the others....and he's a mummies boy,and I want to keep the one closest to the mother. But the black and white one is sooooo cute and outgoing. Both daughters will take one, that means 2 will stay here....kinda sad to break them up.And her previous litter of 2 hang around outside.

No names yet,but I have decided to call the mother ''M''

If you are going to get 2 cats, a boy/girl combo seems to work best as our 2 girls fought...well, like cats, after a couple of years and the power struggles were too much hassle. 2 boys apparently just rip things to bits in concert, but a female/male combo seems to keep everybody happy.

Yeah, we have 2 boys and 2 girls - works well for the most part We do have quite a power struggle between Bucket (eldest girl) and George (youngest boy) so the boy/girl thing doesn't always work that well, especially with lots of cats in a small house! (house is bigger now and everyone's happy!)

More name suggestions: Rough and Tumble, Bubble and Squeak, Top and Tail

(we used to have Mop and Bucket but Moppy passed away a couple of years ago, was very sad)
