Hello Nick, glad to hear the news - all systems go for the central north island? If you want to PM me with any arrival details and if there's anything I can do to help, let me know. Freebird from the UK Blackbird website arrived a few weeks back. He's in Wellington.

Try this website too: http://www.motorcycletrader.co.nz/. Joining the Honda Riders Club gives you access to competitive insurance rates, cheap track days etc. Will give you details when you get here.

    Cheers

    Geoff

Wotcha Nick. I bet you're looking forward to coming to a NZ summer - good on yer. I've been here 2 1/2 years and wouldn't dream of going back to blighty. Just watch out for the stunning scenery not great when you're fanging along ;-)

You won't have trouble finding a 'bird - there's normally one or five on most group rideouts, so they're pretty popular. Cyclespot in Takapuna often have one or two second hand ones in stock- problem is their web site is under reconstruction currently - DOH! Expect to pay around $18k for a brand spanker, less with a bit of a haggle.

Drop us a line with your ETA and destination - as a mate of Blackbird and Hammer we're always on the look out for an excuse for a rideout.

    Cheers, Dave

    Hi ya Nick

Good to see another Bird rider heading this way. I'm sure you'll have no problem picking up a Bird, as you can see there are a few of us around.

    Cheers

It's all "Deliverance" country down there or so I'm told. Four or 5 of them in the Ashburton area too.

It seems like everyone from the BIRD site is emigrating to NZ.
Do you guys know something I don’t?
I’m not surprised that people are leaving blighty though. We’ll be paying tax on to breath soon.
Perhaps I should bring my fast red one over and help get the numbers up Freebird.

Best of luck in your new home guys.

Davey, we need to catch up to have a chat over this colour/speed issue your developing buddy. Already being off the bike is starting to effect your judgement!!!! Will keep the fingers crossed you make the south island trip next year. let me know if the bike is all sorted by Xmas and you want to get across to Wanganui races on boxing day as happy to meet you there.
