600 supersport

just a quick question. im looking to upgrade to a 600cc bike, and the CBR600RR, ZX6R, and R6 have caught my eye. which one of these bikes would make the best daily rider, to and from work, and rides to footy?
keep in mind i will sometimes be carrying a pillion, but only for short distances (15-20km)

edit: the older GSXR600(97-99) have always been a love of mine.the wider pillion seat might also help the passenger. so might as well throw that into the mix.

hate to admit it but my pick would be the cbr600rr.

i rode boomer's round taupo 2 up and it goes pretty well for a poofs bike.

I reckon you should go round the shops and try all of them and see what ya like the most in ya quick test.

iv tested the R6 and ZX, not to happy with the riding position of the R6. Zx i have no real complaints with, other than being a bit twitchy

been looking at the gixxer 750 as well now that you mention it. the extra 150cc and bigger pillion seat cant hurt. im a bit worried about the seat hights of the GSXR's as im only 5'8

I wouldn't worry about it. My missus is 5'9" and she rides a gsxr750.

i sure hope she doesnt. i didnt think it sould be much of a problem, just didnt know how hard it would be to keep upright if i cant flat foot the thing. swaying towards the gixxer now, liking the look of them.still tossing up between the 600 and 750

All be fine for daily commuting i know people who communte on each one of these bikes

very true cajun. so far that would be the R6.might test ride a gixxer in the next few days. the only time i would have the pillion would be between my place and the girlfriends

No it's the standard pipe.

The K6 GSXR has the lowest seat of the current crop of 600/750s. I can flat foot (with boots on) with standard suspension settings and I'm 5ft 6. Most reviews rate the GSXR600 as the best touring/everyday bike in the class... and sadly it doesn't "own the racetrack" anymore (least with standard suspension settings)

Ok, a bit harsh but pillions, comfort and commuting are not in the design brief of modern 600 sportsbikes for a good reason. We want cool looks and performance. Buy a pair of platform shoes, stuff some foam into your jocks and find a girlfriend with a well padded rear and bob's your uncle a perfect 600 sports commuter.
And you want the ZX6R by the way.
ps- Dover can you enlarge that picture a fraction more so I can justify buying a 260 inch screen
