He completely transformed the handling of mine. I won't let anyone else near my suspension except him now, he is the man.

i thought it was airbags, but apparently his bike always sits that low when he's on it.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Nah it isn’t (not totally anyway, just phrased wrongly). If you’re braking at 1G into a corner and accelerating hard through it, you’ll need a suspension setup that is in its optimum range when those forces are applied to it…

If a rider is braking at half of that and riding like a nana on the same suspension setup as above, then there is a better setup to be found for that rider on that day, as the suspension will just be bouncing around at the top of its stroke…

Or something like that, I read a book about it once, but I’m no expert.

    eh?

    en anglais si vous plais?

no suspension system is going to be perfect at every speed, it's designed to absorb bumps in the riding surface, be it road or track. but to say that your suspension is only designed to work "over 140km/h" is utter bullshit.

I'm no suspension set up expert but I did study a little dynamics.

Suspension's a black art and is entirely dependent on what a rider likes. If some guru prefers the firmer side of things and sets everyones bikes like that, it'll differ totally to a guy who sets bikes up plush. Ultimately, he's trying to help you figure out what works for you or not...

Some people like firm fronts, soft rears, others soft fronts and firm rears, firm all round or soft all round... Until you play, you won't know...

I reckon most people would do well to find online setup guides and fiddle little bits at a time and see what they like. If you don't like something, set it back to standard and start over...
