    Ducati 1098S Tricolore

Just when you thought that all Ducati's cats had been let out of the proverbial bag by certain members of the world press, the Bologna manufacturer pulls back the curtain on another stunner. In this case it's the Ducati 1098 S Tricolor, revealed last night (Monday November 13th, 2006) first to Ducati Dealers and then to the World Press at EICMA in Milano, Italy.
Yes, we knew it was in the works. Yes, it shares the same spec sheet at the 1098 S. Does that spoil the world's first glimpses of the Tricolore? Oh, dear gawd no! Ducati has likely just contributed to a serious increase in absentee parents and divorce rates the world over… What havoc a paintjob can reek.

    Canadian MSRP will be $29,995.00
    Found on the www.onewheeldrive.net website.

Theres quite a comprehensive article on the site regarding the standard 1098 too. Haven't had time to read it though.

Apart from being a rather tasty looker...

what are the bits to the sides of the seat??? Is this an area to be able to cope with the fat-bastard xxxos sized overhanging tushy???

Has anyone noticed the RRP on the base model? USD$14,995. Which is less than the RRP of a 999, which is something like USD$17,499.

But to put that in perspective, the RRP for a Fireblade is USD$11,499.

This really bodes well for the new bike fucking the prices on used 749 and 999. Which makes me quietly anxious for the bike to be released in NZ..

Oh the 'old school' paint job for the ducati purists? What that really means is that the 'older rich guy' will buy it, when someone questions him on the choice of colours, he'll say 'oh it's traditional you philistine!' and pretend like it is not the first Ducati he has owned.

And then fall off on the first corner.

It's seems like a lot of extra money just for a paint job. People that buy bikes with paint jobs annoy me.

You get an exhaust system too.

So people know "Here comes that rich twat on the odd coloured Ducati".
