Only in NZ can you ever get this up close and personal with Valentino Rossi - Jo & I had a total of 5 gropes & 3 piccies of us with him.... and about 100 more of him changing his own tyres, breathing etc etc all the normal stalker kind of stuff!! Amazing - he didn't do 4 wheels half bad either!

well Quasi, the conversation between myself, fi and rossi, kind of went like this:

(us): burble burble giggle...wow...wow...wow...burble burble, giggle, tee hee...fuck...scream....wow...wow...wow...

(him) you want photo? ....

(us) thank-you-thank-you-we-love-you-good-luck-giggle-scream etc...

you get the idea?

as you can tell, the italian phases we'd so painstakingly researched on the interweb, our resolve to remain calm etc went pretty much out the window.... but he seemed to get the general drift of the depth of our admiration for him...(and possibly, having to prise me off his leg might've given him a clue also.....)

how awesome is that!?! it's wicked that he's so approachable & not surrounded by evil marshal/security demons - the ones at the track were fab. it must be the only place in the world that people can have a chat with him so easily (or try to at least... when the mouth, tongue & vocal chords work in co-hesion!)
