That brought back some memories! Good to hear Mr XP@ quoted and see all three of my riding buddies included in the trailer. I am so looking forward to getting my copy of the DVD. It looks like it will be a cracker!

Saw Andy in the opening shot - but he was disappointed to see a couple of the guys he was riding with in the trailer but not him - he was ahead of them so obviously the videographers missed him!

Didn't know they'd hired you as narrator, James!

All I did was answer a few questions...

I think they are looking for some more audio from other local (Wellington) GC Riders... so if you get the call then please give your best :-)

Andy said he was surprised that they didn't bother interviewing him at all - you know how he's not the type to push himself forwards - but considering he and Cam are the only two to have done all 20 of the rides, he did think they would want to talk to him!

Probably an oversight... There was a lot happening on the weekend.

I know they havn't got all the audio they wanted, because the ride weekend was mostly filming.

An oversight? I think that's got to take the prize for the understatement of the year! Only TWO guys have done ALL 20 rides and not one of the umpteen guys filming talks to them? I have no idea who the guys they did speak to on the trailer were but both said it was the toughest GC they'd done - whereas Andy said he'd really enjoyed it.

And if they want audio from Wellingtonians they won't bother contacting us either - we don't live there!

Anywho, I'll look forward to seeing the end product.

Reserve indignation until the final product emerges. I know that the crews did a lot of one-on-one interviews before the start, because I saw them happening.

Yes, they even came up to see Andy and three others a week ago. Unfortunately they said they'd be here at 9am and didn't arrive until closer to 10 but it's all in the can now, as they say! I'll look forward to seeing what the rest of them had to say in the finished product.

There had been talk of a second trailer. And of a "premiere" at the Paramount. But just getting the DVD before Christmas would be terrific.

Just got a reply from an e-mail I sent to Rusty Nuts:

    Hi Pete

The DVD is going to be send out towards the end of January.

We underestimated the sheer amount of time it would take us to edit
the huge amount of footage we got, and really didn't want to make a
    rush job of it.

A letter has been sent to everyone who has ordered the DVD explaining
    this

Thanks for your support and apologies again for the delayed delivery
    time

    - oh well, something to look forward to! - and better that its not a "rush job"

    Thumbs up

HEy FEllas, and update on the DVD ETA FYI : The following is a replay e-mail received today from the Guys putting it together=

Just sent lee the final edit for approval, so hope to start printing
them off this weekend and get them in the mail next week

The running time is 1h 46m down from 65+ hours of footage, so you can
imagine what the edit job has been like. Just sorting and logging the
    footage took weeks!

So keep an eye out for the postie next week!

    Cheers

    Tim
