Helens a damned good operator as a politician, and with Cullen as #2 they make a powerful and capable team... as politicians per se.

My complaint is with the extend of social engineering they have put/are putting in place - the depth and direction of social support measures encouraging/enabling people to stay home and have babies/not have a job/be "ill" forever, and discouraging them from seeking employment or a contribution to society.

I don't think Don was ever Helen's match, or Cullen's and I have an idea John Key is not savvy enough either although I haven't really seen him in action except the ocassional head to head on Campbell live and the like... and let's face it... those are somewhat stages events.

God help NZ is all I can say. Bring back Bob Jones for MP

I did a little dance when I heard he quit.
I respected his good manners, and the fact that he was good at crunching numbers.

BUT that Fucker was a long way from having a clue and so wanted to be in power to monkey up to anyone with more power or money. His ideals were not based on anything but lots of money. Good honest hardworking kiwis my ass. We would have found ourselves closer and closer to the US in so many ways (gone by lunchtime and probably joining in with Iraq) and had more corperate control of this country. Suits the rich fine as they get what they want (getting richer...yay). But being a good honest hardworking kiwi Im glad hes out of it.

The then President Clinton actually said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." I think I have previously covered this in another thread.

It will be very interesting to see who gets incriminated in the leaked material.

We have to remember, this material was leaked by National members, who I would presume feel wronged by the effects of Brash's fairly complete lack of political savvy.
