NZ runs on spin, we tell tourists lies and are then surprised when they believe us.
Read tourist guides for anywhere in Europe and they will warn you of unsafe areas and basic security precautions.
It's our national insecurity rising to the fore again, we think that if we tell the truth, people won't visit us.

Tourist should be made aware that even travelling around our beautiful country, they need to have some sort of protection for self defense, and be on the lookout at all times for dodgy/suspicious people.

If more of these scumbags got a baseball bat to the head, or hacked at with a machete, maybe they would think twice about fucking with people.
But having said that, if a clever tourist was to bludgeon one of these rapist burglars, and break their arms and legs, they would probably end up in jail with the scumbags on the inside, instead of with the scumbags on the outside.

I wouldn't want to be the person who fucked with me and my loved ones, and was stupid enough to leave me alive to do something about it.

It is my belief there is degrees of criminality, as I believe there is degrees of morality:
