    2007 Yzf-r1

The new R1 has been released overseas, but is still 2-3 months from hitting NZ shores.

It seems as though it's going to be one amazing piece of Machinery.

The 07 is massively different from the 06 model although looks kind of similar.

The 07 model now comes standard with a Slipper Clutch.
The YCCT (Yamaha Chip control throttle) AKA Fly-By-Wire that was seen on the R6 is now incorporated on the R1.
The first ever YCCI (Yamaha Chip Control Intake) which features a moving trumpet system in the airbox that can adjust the trumpet length to suit for either Low Rev and High Rev range via both low and high intake passages.
Higher power spark system featuring magnets.
%14 larger radiator for more cooling.
A fully new designed R1 motor with 4 valves per cylinder.
    New exhaust system
Powerful dual 310mm front brakes with 6 piston calipers.
    Newly designed frame and swingarm.
    Retuned front suspension.
New Headlight & Taillight designs & components for better illumination.
    New stronger/lighter Rims.
    Pirelli Corsa rubber standard.

Well what can one say??? I spent ages reviewing the 07 range of bikes and this is the one that came out on top, miles ahead of the others.

But there is always a downfall somewhere...... Still no Gear Indicator!

yip..Its looks like a real good bike. Also waiting on a blue one(maybe red).Slipper clutch at last!!!
The YCCI makes more torque down low which is good.
Also, the R1 does not need a gear indicator, it has enought juice to make you forget about the gears.
    Don't you just love golf?

8 Grand = Gossip, There's a pretty large reason why I'm buying my new bike from the same shop I sold my last one.
Thats what people don't know about............... No one was there when I sold my Gixxer. I left the shop with a cheque and no bike. But I also left the shop with a private agreement which I've now returned to. Too many people gossip with knowing only half the facts.

Since I've never been financed upto the eyeballs - I wouldn't know.
Funny thing is: I buy Palm tinned corned beef for my dog. $6 a small tin. He had lamb chops this morning, crumbed by myself and cooked in butter, just the way he likes it!
