    Arrow Woosh Wireless Antenna Issue

Currently with Woosh wireless and struggle to get an effective signal, im paying a premium price for this service but getting poor speeds because of poor reception from the booster antenna - see picture 1.

At the moment it is stuck to the inside of the window (the little white thing on the window pic 2-3)

I have enough cable to route it outside and it will reach the side of the bay window (pic 3). But here lies my problem.

    These things are not waterproof.

I have thought about putting a plastic bag over it and securing the end, but that would look gastly on the side of the house.. ..it is the front after all.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have been thinking about trying to seal up the antenna with silicone around the joins and all over the connector?

Unsure how it works, and worried I may reduce the reception by waterproofing it?

    Thanks in advance!!!

Yes I have looked into aftermarket antenna already, unfortunatly the only ones available use the wrong frequency.. Hz rating.

It is different to the wireless frequency used in home network antennas.

I bought a 5 metre extension for mine - it connects to the standard 1.5 which should reach upstairs - $27

Well I have sealed the antenna with silicone. Tomorrow... I get to drill holes ...to get the cable through the window frame somehow!

yeah i got one of those on my mobile.

2Ghz at the moment, ask 'em for a mini-repeater

Dan.. other than enclosing it in metal you should be fine. However don't go over board with anything you may put over it

    Dear Daniel,

According to our records, your signal has been improved significantly
from 15th of Nov. Has your speed increase as well?

Our network uses frequency 2.050GHz to 2.10GHz. A 2.4GHz will not help
the signal at all. We only got one type of booster antenna. I don't know
if there is one on the market with the same frequency.

Thank you for your enquiry. If you have any further queries or require
clarification, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

you actually spent time looking for that?

    sad man.

I was only trying to help by telling you to ditch an inferior product that is condemned to failure thru lack of investment and user support. IE it's shite.

    Vodafone 3G works ok though.
