well it could be done.... in theory.. but stand back and watch i drop its guts after ten minutes runing. i.v heard tales of a 60 hp cbr250 in melbourne somewhere all ported, tuned rejetted etc but it split in half and shat its self all over the free way -or so the story goes.. my guess is typo try 49 might be closer (45ish?)
It is only when we have lost everything that we are free to do anything.
usually quoted as 45 from most sources

In space, no one can smell your fart.
yeah, i have asked him the question on wheather it came with a dyno read out. the old zxrs came out with 45hp at the crank and with no water pump etc. also in the early 90s there was an hp restriction put on the smaller cc bikes and i think reduced the power out put to 40 or something similar

Seriously though, this shit really pisses me off. If the guy doesn't actually know anything, which it seems he doesn't, he could at least do a bit of research instead of just making shit up.

Some dude in Japan apparently had a 96 or so hp turbo'd CBR250...but that's clearly not the same case as the one here.
...
My pet peeve is when sellers on TradeMe put in a whole lot of unrelated keywords, to try to get hits from people searching for anything bike related. E.g. someone selling a CBR will include something like:
Keywords: ZXR CBR NSR R1 ...
It wastes everyones time, & makes the search functionality on the site a whole lot less useful.

Report the advert. It takes two minutes and I've found TradeMe will usually take it down or suspend it until the seller removes the surious keywords.
Of course, TradeMe's search functionality wasn't that good anyway. In the pre-defined pulldown list of manufacturers, they'd managed to spell "Aprilia" will two Ls. i pointed it out to them about five times, but they only managed to correct it a month or two back.
And why does he not change the details of his auction so it reads 39hp? Because then someone who doesn't read the q's wouldn't pay $5k for it!!
