    NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 03V486000
    Recall Date: November 24, 2003
    Component: Transmission
Potential Number Of Units Affected: 680
Summary: On certain motorcycles, the gearbox shift sleeves for engagement of 3rd to 6th gears can fracture unexpectedly while the motorcycle is in use.

I would also say that they would have been all recalled buy now.
Or have been fixed the hard way, mine has the sticker to show that it has been fixed.
And you are right about Guzzi owners, they do not change their bikes much, they just add to the collection.
We like the V11 so much we may have to get another to stop the fighting over it.:slap:

I hope that you both can come to a deal that can keep you both happy.

By the way the off the throttle snap has almost gone, it just needed a few tanks of gas to clean out the system.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

I'd say you are getting used to the inj feel, snap will still be there.

Only the V11's have that tail end.

It is still there but there is a lot less of it. (or you could be right)
You have to remember that it is a import and has the old gas in it that changers to a smelly (turp's smell) jelly sticky snot.
And it takes awhile to flush out, even if you clean out the fuel system.
    It's horrible stuff.

Ohhh dear, I can see that Im about to upset R1M.

Actually a 97 in NZ so it is a very early one,
straight cut gear box, shit out after a few k's
They need replacment relays, as all inj bikes do
needs extra earthing, from tacho and ECU
Fucking hard work around town with a 5 speed
    Needs a upgraded chip.
Carbon pipes will blow apart, after time

tell ya what... the 1100i sport is a FUCKING awesome bike and his price isent too bad, it has the best cross over $ can buy, White Power,Marchesini and Brembo is all std and good shit, any one after a bike like this will do well.
    cheers DD

I do not think that you will upset him on that alone.
He seems to have a habit of saying the bike is a year older until he gets all the paper work, (as he can not read and understand Japanese) so he is does not look like he is trying to rip anyone off.

I was told I was getting a 1999 V11 but when all the paper work went though it turn out to be a 2000 V11. (My gain)

I have had a quick look at it and it is in good condition apart from the fact that it had a small lie down on the right side.
You will see a small white mark on the fairing above the indicator has a few scratchers on the lower part of the pipe and front break lever and broke the stainless steel band around the Kevlar pipe where it meets the down pipe.
Which I will repair for him. (I have the strip and rivets and will see you tomorrow Ian to do it fir you)
It looks like the only part they replaced was the bar end.

Hey Dangerous, Want to take this one for a ride???

I list my bikes as year of manufacture not year of first sale. So made parts made in 10/96 make it a 96 even though they never sold until 97.

As far as i can tell its completely STD.

Got more Guzzi comming too. Black V11 sport with 8800km (but i have taken a holding deposit on it already sorry Le Mans) due next week. Also a V11 Lemans (not due until early January).

The photo on trade me is as it came. I havent even had time to polish it yet.

I am a wheelstand cripple but rear wheel steering is a different story. Call in when you have a bit of time free and take it out. I would be interested in your comments.
    Cheers.

    Well that's a bugger.
Does any one know can the Lemans V11 be changed to look like the sport buy just removing the fairing?
And is there any problems that you can think of?
