I have a k5s for my getting back into it bike. I like it-much better bike than I am rider! Only thing I dont like are the sore wrists around town and throttle hand can go to sleep after an hour or so riding! The naked might be better in this[riding position] repect-but I intend to tour on it.

Yes... That's part of sport's bikes!!!

I think you might benefit from the little windscreen if you go touring with her...

Had one and sold it to buy the Hornet

I quite liked it but decided the amount of money I was going to spend on it wasnt justified.

I thought the forks were complete shit, and the rear shock was total budget. Guy I sold mine to did the racetech springs and emulators and new shock thing and said it transformed it. He also did the pipe and Power Commander thing. Trouble is, thats about 3 grand, on a bike new that was 10, and suzuki secondhand values being what they are, its probably six now.

I did get $8k for mine but it had 5000k on it. at the time.

I have ridden a mates SV1000 and I reckon thats a much better motorbike.

Having said that, for the same money, the Honda Hornet 900 kicks all their arses... (you did ask for opinions.... )

The SV1000s the same as the CB900 if not a few mil. seconds quicker... because of the way the twin produces power, it's easier to ride and produce constant times....

What does that mean... ??? Twins make you a better rider!!! LOL

had a 2001 sv650s, a nice bike BUT really let down by suspension, front and rear....almost to the point where it was unsafe, 'cus that engine was way beyond the springs abilities...even though sorting it is cheapish to do...I wasn't that impressed with the little v-twin

    It looks better... (ER6-N/F?)

Why don't you ask the people that have ridden one
    that question? > http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ar...p/t-21307.html
