I know far too little about riding ,and that little wrong, to be so presumptuous as to advise others , in perpetuation of my own folly.

But, IF (big if) I can get away from werk in time to get there by 7, I and Der Uberfharter will lend what assistance we can, if nothing else to stop the local idiots riding up peoples tail ends. Few cagers are game to try any smart shit with the Uberfharter.

Oooo Ooooh can I have an escort? With lights and sirens and stuff?
I'm In Mt Albert, just off Carrington Road. I'm not ready to go on the motorway yet so it might be a slow one.

UPDATE: I just got an offer of an escort! See all you other newbies there!

Well that was the most fun you can have with....

    No, wait....

Ok that was just a lot of fun! Thanks everyone - WRT for being my escort (and wearing a tie for the occasion) Frosty for the new clutch lever Mack for telling me EXACTLY what I did wrong, and all the rest of you for your help, advice, pats on the back etc.

I did my first lane-splitting, my first ride on the motorway, my longest ride ever (by far) and my first lying down on the road with my bike on top of me (just to see what it felt like, you understand). I hope to repeat all but one of those experiences many times in the future.
