Not too bad really. My old '77 CJ250T, a vertical twin, weighed in at around 159kgs dry/183.0 kg wet, had about 27hp and 80mph top speed. Could handle 600km plus weekend trips no worries. You could slot a Cb360 donk in them. I like the fact the GT250s are a biggish framed bike.

Edit- Would be interesting to do a side by side comparison with a GT250, GT250R, GPX250 and GSX250 twin.

Real world stuff of course. Paper crap is ok around the bonfire while drinking a few Woodstocks.

I stand corrected. Thanks. The Chinese seem to be owning everything these days it's hard to keep up.

Check out the specs according to the review attached. It's 170kg dry. (2nd part of the review is only a photo)

PS: NC4R, you're caps lock key is stuck!

Seems to depend what you read

Australian site has it at 155Kg
    http://www.hyosungmotors.com.au/gt250r.html

UK site has it at 171Kg
    http://www.hyosung.co.uk/detail.php?id=6

    Korean at 168Kg
    http://www.hyosungmotors.co.kr/produ...t/gt250r_s.asp

And an independent statistics which claims a frankly ridiculous 126Kg

TURBO A HYOSUNG IF IT CAN TAKE IT THEN WHAT. I'M JUST SAYING MODDING A HYOSUNG OR A 250 WITHOUT A TURBO OR SOME OTHER SERIOUS STUFF IS PRETTY POINTLESS REALLY PRICE/PERFORMANCE ETC. TURBO A 400 WOULD BE INTERESTING ACTUALLY, MAYBE LOW 600 POWER IN A SMALL PACKAGE?

If it was in Chch then it was related to the flywheel. As an aside, since the Hyosung in question died, the owner has heard several stories of big brand V-Twins destroying crankshafts and flywheels under race conditions, so the problem was not a result of poor build quality.

How do you come to that conclusion? Without inspecting the components?
