Welcome to our world, buzz on in!

The swarm grows! I hereby give you firm salutations and most heart felt greetings to a fellow Hornet rider. From your post, I can see you are another passionate and completely obsessed Hornet owner!

I know about getting on it and riding and riding ... and riding! It just doesn't want to stop! It'll put a grin on your face and when you park it up for the night, you'll hug it, pat it, speak to it and love it...oh yes

Anyhow, join the www with http://www.hondahornet.co.uk/ and become a paid up member ... I have!

Any queries or probs, give me a PM - I am now the unofficial official welcomer and organiser of little two fiddy Hornets! Muwahahha!

I think the people who've been reading posts by Hornet owners are shaking their heads and think we'll all pariahs! As an anecdotal observation, the owners of Hornets I've met, read about and other comments - Hornet riders are up there with the most fanatical and passionate riders! Able to endure any taunt about Hondas, the lack of fairings, the crippling wind blast, etc. etc.

I love my little ol'Hornet, I will pat it, I will hug it, I will give it a kiss and love it and love it....

the most honest and hurtful comment I have heard about the hornet is that it is too predictable .. .this of course is coming from someone who likes to cut loose, and have the odd scary moment.

Mine is as predictable as sun coming up.
if there is fault, it is the rider not the bike.

However, I have been "playing" with my suspension setup this week, and boy did I cock it up in a major way.
I managed to set my suspension up so that the front felt like it had no weight, and absolutely no grip ... lucky for me I noted what I changed. So yesterday I promptly "un-fucked" it .. now its back to its normal predictable self

Might have to book in a trip to the naki, and a visit to our local hero Shaun

I am thinking of carrying a syphon tube. So petrol can be shared between bikes. Mustang suggested this and he is to get a tube as his fatboy drinks a lot and has a little tank. Any suggestions on what/where to get a suitable tube?
    Here for the ride.

Forget it! Go to Supercheep Auto and for a few bucks you can get a small and portable fuel pump system ... pipes and a little squeez pump all included! Small enough to stash under your seat!

My 2c anyways! (or should that be 10c now? )

I just got my '96 250 hornet yesterday - it's lots of fun. I did have a VFR400R a few years back - and had wanted a hornet 600, but there seems to be a general lack of them around... and I couldn't justify spending much - wife has baby on the way etc.

So yeah - another hornet to the nest here too.

I should maybe start a separate thread - but anyone know of where to get a good/cheap bike computer for my new bike?

Very passionate, and very obsessed! Everytime I leave my place i stop to check she is OK on the way out, give her a bit of a stroke, sometimes even start her up just to hear her

I checked out the hornets nest, looks promising - some heavy modders there doing lots of cool things to their hornets! I'm not sure about the new hornet... kinda on the bench about that one - but overall a great site!

Wow there is not much room under the seat, and if I can fit that, i'm gonna buy one today!

ok then I'll start it off.

Hondas are of the homosexual persuasion, you need a bike made by another manufacturer with a different kind of engine, V twin? and questionable reliability, which reminds me, anyone wana swap batteries?

Oh no night time fuel-out, NO good at all! Funny thing was after I noticed the initial loss of power, I carried on past about 3 petrol stations before it cut out...

Sounds like you got lucky, near the petrol station! Did you know it was out of fuel?

Yep, I was on reserve at the time and hoping and praying that I'd make it to that station! Ah well, it was a nice night
