Me 'n Draco are going up north friday night, planning to do some miles on saturday and explore some of the roads I've never ridden, and some I've not done for a bit.
I'm thinking meet any jafa's that wanna come at the normal place (paparoa) to leave at 11am, than head north up through Twin bridges.Then across the back of the lake and up 1 through the mungamukas and find somewhere for late lunch.Then back down and across thru Keri and paihia to opua and across the ferry to russell. Down russell road to whangas again.
No forest this time (It's a little tight for my liking and it's been done a few times) but a chance to ride some of the other cool roads up there.
Pace will be varied, I'm fastish, Draco's slowish.

btw, the shitty weather is supposed to be gone by then...........
Edit: The norfland crew can meet outside Maunders before 10 so we can ride down to meet the others.
Edit: The jafa's will meet at shell westgate at 9am for a 9.30 departure, cruise up 16, then 1, then the road to dargaville 'till paparoa (sh12). i will be in whanga's already so someone else will need to co-ordinate this
Check here sat morn for updates if the weather looks iffy.
