Goes to show how much I have to learn. I think i might need to do a few more of these exercises!!!
Any one can ride fast, that does not impress me, some of the skills shown by the other mentors has reminded me that I need to stop and take the time to relearn the basics. I might just be seen frequenting a few carparks in coming weeks.
Dan,I think you should tell the story before someone else does.
A big thanks to all who came and helped out, and great to see heaps of people willing to get out there and learn some life saving skills! Good to see some new faces this week!
Special thanks to Mack, Noel, Christine and Crashe !
Right.... well no blimin guesses for what I managed to do....![]()
Taking off in small groups for a short ride, after first group left I was told to lead the next group... *MISTAKE* ...first intersection... went wrong way, but managed to stay with group and rectify. Next one... indicated left.. went right.. everyone went left, my goup and I right... we got lost... ended up turning back... then I could smell burning rubber... stopped to find my front mudguard had bent downwards and rubbing on tyre... geesh... limped back to westgate... ...then ontop of all that, I see a past 'one-night-stand' sitting having a drink with some of her friends at miss q's.... that was a minty moment... thankfully she did not have the guts to come over!
let the jokes and sniggers begin.......

apparently he gets lost alot?? so everyone was just laughing and joking that he would get lost when doing that small redhill road.
to begin with, he indicated the wrong way at the round about. but i corrected him and we went the right way. (he was in front)
then we turned left opposite old north.
next road we need to turn left on you dont really turn left, you go straight, or you vear right to stay on the road your one (we wnat to go left)
so he indicates left, but still goes right? we all go right.
and yeh.....
