    Welcome! I always reckoned the CBR600F4 had to be one of the best! Not as focussed as later models but more comfortable and plenty quick!

    The ZX6R was also a great allrounder. Both more sporty than the Bandits and GSX-F's though I do love my bike as pretty quick and comfortable.
    You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
    Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

    I have to add my recommendation for the Honda CBR600F (not the RR models) if you want both a bloody good sports bike as well as a bike you can ride all day and not have sore back/hands/arms/shoulders.

    I did a lot of research too and talked to a lot of people and the concensus seemed to be that the CBR is one of "those" bikes - that do everything so well, they're not exciting enough for the boyz. It always wakes them up though when you get to a track day and an old bike ridden by an old fart is too fast to keep up with
