oh was this the one that had the huge mud bogs on teh advanced trail at the start and right at the end? If so that was a mint ride. Flex went past me and gave his bike a throttle full and coated me with mud from head to foot on one side.

Now I'm really gutted I can't go. maybe I can come home early on sunday from Tauranga.......

It was a pretty good ride last year, just a bit slippery for the first half a day.
In the morning they had the track coming down a bit of hill and it had a reasonable sized ledge that you dropped off of and you couldn't see it until the last minute, they ended up changing that part has there were to many people doing endo's of the ledge. LOL.

Now I'm really pissed, I thought that this one was one of teh best rides I did last year.

That ledge was funny as fuck I nearly went over the bars on that one. it was a decent we drop that.

Yeah it was slippery as hell at first but as the day went on (and my confidence grew) It got better and better. And how about those god dam tree roots everywhere? shit they were slippery!!!!

    Dumb question time..

How ridable is this for complete novices? I've recently bought a DR650 for adventure riding and want to learn (I am a complete newby) some off road skills.
So.... is this a suitable venue or am I going to be struggling the whole day?
I realise the weight / unsuitability of the DR issues so don't get hung up on that!

    Appreciate any advice!
