good point ... but then you could also argue what the difference is between a cyclist doing 40kish around town and a motorcyclist .....

Gimp suits could be a go - might get a bit sticky though, which is the whole point really - what is practicable given the situation ?

Scooter rider may be a poor student that can't afford all the gear. Still has to get from A to B.

    Yeah,

In the end, it is their hide. And I think the gene pool can use as much chlorine as you can get your hands on.

Serious cyclists generally know what they're doing and have alot of experiance compared to the gits who go down to the warhouse and buy a scooter who know nothing about two motorised wheels.

You ride a bicycle when you're three as well so you have years of experience.

It's often not yourself but the other road users you have to worry about, and regardless of what you're riding, it will hurt when you hit the road.

I have a fair amount of experience on all of the above and don't see how a scooter can be more dangerous at the same speed as a pushbike .... in fact i would say its the other way around.

i often ride in a shirt and sneakers around town. and my partner smokes with his open faced lid. just means i have to dodge the ash. lol.

    whats your point?

i nearly collected some bicycleing old geezer just down the road, in the middle of the lane, going a way less than walking pace. i thought he was gonna turn down the side road, but he kept going straight ahead. blasted past him in the hopes itd make him stay where its safe.

Me too mate but I had a open face helmet specifically for it, could never figure out how to make them burn slower or how to keep the hot ash from occasionally burning my jandal wearing toes

When I'm going on a short ride I wear a t-shirt but ALWAYS my jeans and boots, dunno why thoughm suppose it looks dumb wearing jandals and shorts on a bike.

As for open face helmets, nothing wrong with them I have since bought one and absolutely love it.......as for cyclists....they should be made to cycle on railway lines only........
