Lightbulb WTB: ZXR250 rear brake lever - Urgent

    Hey

I'm looking for a ZXR250 "C" model rear brake lever, binned the ZXR yesterday and need to find a replacment part today before lunchtime, otherwise I'll have to call up and postpone my full license test...

    Anyone got one?

if you get stuck, drill a hole in it & put a bolt through it,with an extra nut to lock it in place, its a five minute job

Surely if it is solid & the brake operates,it should be fine

    Cool

    When is the test happening.......?

So that gives people an idea of the time frame in which to help you out.

Maybe you could 'borrow' one off another ZXR250 for the duration of the test and then 'return' it afterwards.

Oh and good luck with the test as well.

Do they inspect the bike that closely? My impression is they do a lights, horn, indicators, brake light, quick look sort of thing.

Stand in front of it, and keep your foot on it. I assume you can work it well enough to activate the stop lamp.

Strictly speaking it should be to WoF standard , and I don't think a bolt would pass a WoF. Fine for a gear lever, brake lever's a bit different.

My test is Thurs 8th @ 3pm in Browns Bay.

Edit: Reason why I'm saying its urgent is that today is the last day I can call AA and cancel or postpone it.

Bike shop has none in stock, neither does Kawasaki, to order a new one in is $145.33 and will take anywhere between 10 working days and 3 weeks.

Spoke to the wreckers and they have 3 in stock but the guy didn't know if they would fit the "C" model, so have to wait until lunchtime until his boss comes in to let me know...

Yeah... I considered that option yesterday as Jono (affman) had a similar set up on his gixxer600 when he was helping me fix up the ZXR last year, with a screw in the lever...

But as mentioned I don't wanna fail before I even start...
