Who needs a programe? I only watch a couple of races the whole day, most of the time I'm looking at bikes. It's not the racing I go for,it's the machinery.Programes will be available at the gate.I will be going with my wife this year, she hasn't been for over 20 years, and we were at the first one. We'll be there between 11.00am and miday, will wander around untill we are worn out and fried.

$25. Bit of a racket though, cos the $25 covers all three days. And as far as I know you can't get a one day ticket.
I went along today. Didn't see a soul that I knew. Or else they all saw me coming first.
Haven't been to Pukie since they butchered it. Gotta say, if there was a competition for the most boring racetrack in the world, from a spectators' point of view, Pukie now would win it hands down.
Only decent place to watch motorcycle racing is in the inside quarter of a slow corner, so you can see the riders twitching themselves silly under brakes, and setting up their line for the corner. And they're slow enough to get a good look. And where is the only slow corner now at Pukie? Right up the far end, where you can't go (as far as I could see - correction welcome), and from the grandstand the bikes are just specks. And all you see from the grandstand is the bikes barrelling past flat tit. Boring boring boring. Better fun wandering around, I reckon they shouldn't bother with the actual races.
And my usual grumble about the food. The choice was grease, grease, and grease. And nothing stronger than coffee to drink. Bah. Double bah. I want decent food, and a decent glass of wine. It's called CIVILISED.
Some interesting machinery, but.
I see Paul in NZ, was up there. Saw his MotoGuzzi thing parked, though I didn't see him. Took a photo of it. (Actually, might have been that other fellow , Dangerous?) . There was a Norge there (that used to be a washing machine - much the same thing I suppose). And one of the Greasy ones.

Not a bargain to get in... but I got a few pictures for those who enjoy this sort of thing ....
HERE
I took a few others . But I'm no photograher I just vaguely point the think n click wildly. I like the little GN250 praked in the middel of the big bruisers. Dignity and impudence

Walking around the pits looking at the machinery is also the main attraction for me, but it would have been useful to have some idea when some of the particular events were taking place. I guess they want your $5 for the programme?
Anyhow the Trials display is on today just after lunchtime, at 12:45pm. There is a demonstration ride by the Rotary Norton (very cool sound), Monocoque Norton and Britten, and the vintage classic road bike track parade before lunch.
I found standing by the armco on the pit side of the start line was a good place to experience the sights and sounds of the bikes as they lined up for the start. Just a bit tough on the ears![]()
We must have walked by each other. I was by the pitside armco too . You'd have needed to look for a Titan not the Beemer. Program's not a lot of helo, just has the order of the races, no times.

Hey It's Mr Nice Guy
YES!. I found the grandstand bar today! Not well signposted though, the signs were all up in the CAGE carpark, none where the bikes were praked! I don't go looking in cager carparks. So I resile somewhat from my catering criticisms. But only somewhat, because they ran out of Speights (!!), and the only food was pies and sandwiches. Better than grease though, and a not too bad Pinot Gris was an acceptable (though pricey) substitute for Speights.
Lots more people there today, still didn't see anyone I knew. Mind you I wasn't looking. And if I had seen anyone, I'd have gone the other way .If you saw a Water Buffalo, that was me. Only one there. Titan was yesterday, get with the program
Speaking of which , for $5 ($1 today! Crooks) I think they could have made an effort to put some more times in even if only approximate.
Got more more piccies but idiot Wondoze won't admit that cameras exist (not made by Microshaft eh). So they'll have to wait until I fire up Ubuntu.
Surely Hugh Anderson on a Manx , or Ginger Malloy on the Bultaco is a Beethoven symphoney visualised in metal and leather? Beside them , ballet seems crude and awkward.
And what's with that ES2? The one with Sam Smith riding (that's GOT to be a fake name). I remember ES2s. Honkin heavy , long stroke, big flywheel sidecar haulers. NO WAY should one of them be seeing off a G50! Mind you, never thought I'd see a 3TA leading in a Goldie, either.
