    There used to be a guy making the Steel ones in his garage in Lower Hutt. He was making them for Southward Tube Mills (now defunct?). He's probably still going. The guys at American V8 Performance in the Hutt would know. He used to do the cashies....

    Edit;
    If you just want a few, ask at your local Pit Stop or Midas??

    I've heard of "pig bait", but what's this? Some kind of "pig lure"?

    90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

    Try Road and Track in Lower Hutt if all else fails
    And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Wolf mufflers in Auckland stock them. I bought 2 180 deg bends for a muffler for the car. They are 'kin dear - about $40 each from memory for 180 deg bends. I figured in the end I would have been better off taking the car to a muffler shop rather than DIY...

    As nobody else has provided a sensible answer, I will.

    They're for exhaust manifold fabrication. You cut them according to the radius of bend you want, then just weld them together to make the bendy bits.

    For folk looking for 90 and 180 degree bends in mild steel / 304 or 316 stainless.
    Tube Benders in Cryers Road / East Tamaki / ALKD have great prices and no doubt are supplying most retailers.
    Seem to remember i was getting stainless bends for around $15.
    They might still have their bin of reject bending jobs which was cheap buying,all sizes and shapes.

    Thanks but are you sure?? Usually bends rather than donuts would be used for this. Donuts are obviously far harder to fabricate than a bend so I don't think I would be chopping one up for an exhaust.

    C'mon TDLV8, spill the beans.....pretty please????
