Is this open to zxr250 owners/people who know them mechanically specifically or can other people with semi-similar bikes come along just to see how an engine is rebuilt and so-on?

Sorry again for not reading the whole thread, I'm tired and want to go to bed but I just had to ask first!
Everyone is welcome to come along (when its organised lol)

After re-reading your guys posts , i think it would be a good idea for you to start off a bit smaller

Taken from your first post i'd suggest:

    Fairing Removal (you never know)
    Oil Change
    Spark Plug changing
    Bleeding Brakes
Battery Removal (I've been PM'd before asking how to remove the battery)
    Checking brake fluid levels
    Checking coolant levels
Adjusting levers (brake & Clutch... simple I know)
    Chain adjustment
    Lubing Cables (Clutch)
    Which tools are needed

This covers the basics for which i think any new(or experianced) rider would benefit from......and save some $$

From there people can then make up their mind as to whether they:
A - Are happy with what skills they have learnt or
    B - YEEEEAHHH THIS SH!T ROCKS......FEEEEEED ME MORE!!!!!

Then can do more advanced tasks for those who wish to take it further .

By all means choose what you want to do though .

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Nice one. Sounds like a logical place to start, the more technical stuff can then follow allowing people to either continue or to step out or if already have the basics then into the next one (assuming there will be more than one).

    What do people reckon?

Yeah that does sound like a great idea, like I've said in one of my previous posts, once we've found a location for the Spanner Night the "lessons" will be split over a couple of nights worth of Spanner Nights

I'm new to riding and having written off my gsx250 im about to get my new

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Primo idea. I'm keen on learning pretty much all that can be learned about my ZXR. But whatever's on offer, that's kool too.

......if only something similar could be instigated here in Wellys???

    Hey

Unfortunatley I don't know a lot of the bikers down Wellington way. But hopefully someone down there will see this and try to organise something similar Once we've got this one sorted I'll see if I can generate enough interest for someone down there to organise one
