Oh yeah, the helmet - I didn't even bang it on the step, fortunately.

I went down fairly slowly and was able to take care I didn't hit the helmet on anything - I think that having recently bought it tends to focus the mind somewhat.

LOL - did that with the RF... backing down a drive (engine off... and no chance of moving it forward...) and the back wheel clipped a bit of firewood lying on the drive...

Going... LEFT! Only think I could do was leap clear and enjoy those delicate sounds of plastic scraping (and things not breaking!!! Fucken strong mirrors the RF...). Wish I'd had your bike I would have been able to hold it up.

Glad you're intact - the title had me thinking.

Im sure we have all had these moments...more embarrassing than dangerous. and ofcourse a right mother if you scratch or break anything, ie. mirrors, pegs etc.
    It could be worse.....

Yeah fortunately I cushioned the bike's fall, kept my helmet clear of anything and the worst damage (aside from the cubs seeing that their father is a dick) was being slightly puffed from struggling out from under the thing and getting it back on its wheels.

Damned good thing it wasn't my old CB550! I still remember dropping that bugger and all I can say is I'm glad I didn't get even one leg pinned under it.

Don't apologise for laughing - this thread was supposed to be a laugh at my expense.

    Definitely liked Motu's advice...

And there I was worried about another expensive case to push up our ACC levies!
Wolf- make sure you coordinate your handbag and high heels though with your helmet colour.
Go all the way and really embarrass yourself and tell us how many people it took to help you lift the bike up.

Don't worry, MD, I only ever buy black - goes with everything.

Including concrete driveways, it would seem.

Actually, the mental image I had was of Jumma and his flatties dashing up the road wearing budgie-smugglers.

    Hmm glad you are ok.

I had my first off a couple of weeks ago. Tried to turn my bike backwards out of a friends driveway while sitting on it. I think my foot slipped on some stones and then in slowmotion (really was) I dropped my bike carefully to the ground and rolled over on the concrete a couple of times I think... cant remember I was too shook up. On a good note, my buddy rescued my bike... no injuries where sustained in my accident.
