Have a look at the Suzuki website, there are a couple photos there. The M109R is more of a 'sports' cruiser than a more traditional looking bike like the C90 - which is also a smaller engine at about 90cm3 compared with the 109cm3 on the M109R.

Obviously the only thing in common is the name!
Unfortunately for me I don't have much technical skill, I just preferred the look, feel and sound of the bike and the riding position is perfect. But yes I do understand that the Gixxers had a fairly good influence on the M109R and it is more recent in techs than the C90.... or that was what they told me!

I really enjoyed my ride on an M109R. A black one. Whoar. The only thing I'd change is the bars.

Sweet, out of interest, what would you do to the bars if you could change them?

I'd move them about 50mm closer. I found reaching them a bit of a stretch.

I see that Suzuki are now doing a very smart cissy bar/parcel tray kit for the M109R. That should significantly improve things for any totty-on-rear.

    It's cubic inches actually. 109ci = ~1.8L

Just got the bike back after its first service this p.m.

Suffice to say it went in there clean and gleaming. But it came back to me tonight dusty, muck on the exhausts, dried water stains over the bodywork.... grrrr. Whatever happended to the obvious... good customer service and making sure it looks at least as good as when the customer dropped it off??!!

    Bloody expensive service too.
