Of course it's legal here. They don't check their right before pulling out and then indicating [*1] so it's surely no more dangerous undertaking them.

i love to go to a country where it isnt legal, and drive at 25kph on the motorway in the far right lane.... wonder how long before someone "illegally" overtook on the left....

You'd be amazed at how quickly a) the cops pull you over, or b) you get forced off the road and bashed..... depending on which country
