    World's wildest police chases

Just watched an episode of the above (also seen the odd one or two other episodes).

I wish we were allowed to deal with NZ crims in such a 'firm' and assertive manner - and that when caught the crims got the same harsh and meaningful penalties as the ones on this show.

F*** NZ and its namby-pamby PC soft-cock judges and sentences!!

Lucky a couple of glasses of red wine have caused me to mellow my opinion of this or I'd REALLY let fly!

I thought there were laws about chasing the Police?

Yup, when I went out with various police departments in the US one of the things I really noticed about them was there were no weedy gimps among them, all were big solid mothers.

Seriously though, I agree with you SD, I wish we could be at least as hard on the pricks as Australia is, failing that lets get as tough as say, Alabama.

I love that show! I drink beer and eat chips and we all cheer when some bastard is taken out by a patrol car. Ahh, sweet violent american TV at its best.
My favourite is when two kids who have stolen a lawnmower run from the police, they are in a pickup, they head from a side road onto a main highway, and in the space of two frames of film, they are hit from the side by a truck doing 120kph and instantly killed. There is nothing bigger than the engine left of the pickup.
It's just so amazing, one moment the pickup is there in the middle of the picture, then it's gone.
We watched it again and again on slow mo, but the truck was going so fast the impact came between frames and the pickup was just gone.
Yes, I know it is sick. But so compulsive. And that narrater seems to relish every moment of it! He's cool too.

    So say I, Zardoz!

There was a episode on a few weeks about the Russian police chasing down some caviar smugglers, now those police didn't mess around when making their arrests. Almost brutal, great to see.

i was watching something else last night.
about some killer type they caught
he killed a few people and injured a few more over time until he was eventually caught...
... he pleaded guilty but with insanity and stil received 3 life terms in the US&A

if it were NZL itd be insanity and a slap on the hand and back into the community.

the US&A can be good sometimes i guess?

Hell yeah, the USA's got the right idea when it comes to fighting crime.

You're a suspect? We'll chuck you in a 2x4 cell for 5 years (and counting), and you get to hear muffled murmurs from other inmates every now and then, so it's not really solitary confinement......
