If you went to school in NZ chances are you came out dummer than when you went in. At least our Universities are based on some backward world standard and heck, some countries even recognise NZ Uni degrees. You get one crack at this son, don't fuck it up for the sake of 2 years and the chance to ride a shiny new bike. Those times will come and they will be less stressful.

    Get an education.
    dont listen to him.

go trapping. trap a few rich gooks and hold their parents to ransom.

then buy my degree. it's from a proper university in the first world.

Most of the sucessful, and unsucessful people I know...used to be something else. But that something else gave them the spring board to do something they like and do better.I'm just a mechanic....but so was Mike Pero, however I still enjoy being a mechanic,I would hate to be a mortgage broker....even a sucessful one.I know a guy who has been trapping for over 35 years,he's one of the few who have made a lifetime career out of it.....but he is way off the sucess path of an engineer in a suit....however I doubt he has ever worn a suit,or would ever want to.

The other thing is, uni cost a shitload and is boring as hell. And The job aint going to stick around for a few years....
Take it from somebody who 'never quite got aound to getting a qualification' and ended up out of a job in his early 40's without any qualifications - the world looks pretty damn nasty right about then!!

Sure, I got through it but in hindsight (We all have 20-20 hindsight, regardless of qualifications!) I would have had a lot less stress and got a job quicker if I had a degree.

    The trapping can wait.

dont take advice from a pig or a grease monkey.

they're the bottom of the pile.

go trapping. asians are overrunning this country and the more of them you can catch the more money you can make.

what's the point in being a fuckin civil engineer in a country that invests fuck all in infrastructure. plus, earthworks and concrete will soon become about as appealing as waxing your testicles

I think you guys are misunderstanding me, I will finish my diploma, just is it a bad idea to go work for a bit to pay my own way? Finish it later.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

"Later" has a nasty habit of evolving into 'Nevr" as time and life goes by......

Look at it another way - by the time you get your diploma do you think you'll still be wanting to go trapping???.

Sorry if it sounds like old guys type advice - it IS old guys type advice.
