    Hi all... (principia)

Just thought I would say Hi! I am learning to ride with my husband fjones, and just got my "L" on Feb 19th. Thank you to crashe for the lesson yesterday, it was much appreciated, I feel much more comfortable on the bike now.

Hope to have some longer routes planned for this weekend coming up, and venture out on the motorway soon! Yikes.

Motorway is easy, all the traffic is moving in the same direction, its just that sometimes, theres alot of them (cars) and its very unlikely to have a head on !.....

Headlight on high, pick a lane and stick to it until you need to get off, give yourself heaps of time to make the lane change, keep checking your mirrors, GN's for some reason can be hard for car divers to see, my wife found that out about a year ago (car merging)...anyway, good luck with it all and enjoy the bike....

    Maha man,

yes, all in the same direction, that's what scares me. People in large groups tend to do stupid things....

Welcome to KB and to riding. I have PM'd FJones about the Bikers Bible. I hope you are able to get a copy, as it is really good. Send me a PM sometime and we can team up to do a ride. Get Crashe to tell you about my first time on the Motorway!! Hehehehehe!

All the best with the practice.

    Well, what can I say.....

Scorpygirl said she was ready to go on the motorway...... after only tootling around the suburbs and gaining confidence.....
I tell her to take it easy and to ease up to 70km..... and to try to go past that speed....... if not happy to stick to 70kph....... I wanted her to push the boundary a little.....

So off we go...... get onto the motorway........

    and........

Off she goes...... at FULL speed......... 100kph and plus....... !!!!!

There was no stopping her on the motorway.......

I got a shock....... there I was chasing her.......

I was her mentor and tail end charlie to protect her butt from drivers etc...

This is the person who on Dec 28 was rather scared of getting on her bike to ride.... within a month, she is riding everywhere, to work everyday..... and rides out in the country.... she overcame some shocking nerves.... and was hooning it down the motorway...
