    Fu*king shit myself tonight.

Just coming into Papatoetoe, turning right onto the road leading to Middlemore Hospital (how very convienient). Arrow turns green and I start turning, next thing I know the arse of the bike has kicked out and I'm crossed overand sliding round the corner.

Bloody good kick of the right foot to the road stopped the bike from dropping down. Recovered and pulled over to the side of the road.

Heart pounding, Thank heaven for early motocross training way back when.

    Looked at back wheel.

FUCKING Deisel all over the side wall and the edge of the tyre. Went back to the corner, walking. Deisel spill round the corner.

Concentrating so much on traffic I missed the telltale signs.

Scrubbed off the tyre. Rode carefully home.

That was too bloody close. I dont need another spill just yet.

Mate - top effort to keep it right side up, most of us would have put it down. Damn bloody diesel spills! Bet that was a ring tightener.

Not only that but I think that I suudenly contracted mumps, judging by the sudden appearance of the two lumps on the side of my throat.

Crikey! Way to go keeping it rubber side down I guess your automatic reactions saved you there, just instinctively doing the right thing so you can post this up!

I was just pootling home from visiting my granny in Auckland Hospital and took the long way home - via Newmarket/Greenlane/Penrose/Otahuhu/Manukau/Manuwera/Takanini ... I'm glad I didn't go down your route tonight!

Managed to change your pants yet?

I have a mate who lives quite close (I was visiting him) From him I borrowed some sand.

That and a cloth removed the crap from the dangerous part of the tyre.
