hate to burst your bubble... but 16km/L is 44mpg (imperial) or 38mpg (US).
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

Fuel? I gave up on that years ago, now I leave my bike in the garage and burn my money. Saves on maintenence costs!

Was getting 5ish L/100km on a zzr250, and hoped that by upgrading, my fuel economy wouldn't jump 1L/100km just by riding in the country. Got the ZX-7R, and I was right... for about 2 weeks. Then it jumped, but not as much. Except it never really got under 5.5L/100km, and was more like 6.5L. Worst ever was a really good ride in the country, where I scored more like 7.8L...

Who cares now, I just ride it until it hits reserve, then I fill again... Once in a while, I see how many k I can get on reserve (err... didn't fill up somewhere, and had to keep going, begging for a gasser around every corner )

Yeah, noticed that, as I get 60mpg on the C50T which is 21km/l. Incidentally, my Honda Legend, 3.5lt quad-cam V6 auto with the climate-air running most of the time checks out at 31mpg, or 11km/l! Great for a large car! That's mainly around town, so I'm interested to see what it will do on a long trip!

GB500 in its commute mode will do 19km per litre but that is only half the story.

The running costs just seem to be exceptionally low for this particular bike, I have never paid to park it and the rubber I run never seems to wear combine this with the small oil capacity and single spark plug it also make for very cheap maintenance.
Just warranted for another six months of boringly sensible problem free legal and polite transportation. yawn.

I get about 20kpl out of Brunhilda, but my favourite thing is that the fuel light doesn't come on for about 400ks. I used to have to fill the GN every couple of days - what a pain.

My CB400 which gets daily use hovers just under 20kml. Mrs Oakie's CB250FM (also an inline 4) which is not used for commuting seems to get 25kml fairly consistently.

My YZF750R lacks any kind of fuel economy, due in no small part to running so rich at idle that you'll get wet if you stand behind it...

    Gets considerably less than 10k/litre.

Take the tank off, and remove the air filter top. There will be a rubber tube there if it's still standard about 50mm in diameter, give it the arse and your bike will go better and use less gas.

Aside from the bar ends that I'm just now in the process of buffing and re-painting - the bike is completely stock, so I'd imagine the tube is still there, thanks for the tip, what am I achieveing by removing it?
