I've always treated those shiny patches of tar seal with caution in summer .Am I being a wimp because I tend to ride around those patches and won't crank it over on them. How much traction do they offer? Can you treat them like any other piece of road?I realise hot road should offer better traction but when you get these big soft patches of tar seal I get the feeling that it would be possible to tear the skin off the top and have a very interesting moment.Anyone gone for a big slide or maybe an off because the road got soft?
