Well it had to happen.
I have just sezied the big end bearing on the CR on sunday.
Happened mid race at the Maungaturoto MX track ( going over the table in front of my cheering fans) landed the jump and came to a slow stop on the side of the track.
First thought that i had fouled the plug up, as the bike started to cough on the landing. But then when i trying to kick the bike over, the kick start it was rock solid . I almost started to as the thought of my gear box in a mangled mess, but sucked i up as my fans were watching.
Sat their and changed up and down through the box only to find all the gears were there and in place.

Pushed the bike back to the ute, and then became flag Marshall for the rest of the day.
So i pulled the top of the motor off just before to have a peek.
Found that the piston is mint ( as i just changed it two rides ago)
crank still moves
But the big end is stuck fast
I have a couple of questions that i need the help on.
1) is this a easy job for young Buddy L to do? anything i need to look out for?
2) why would this happen if im mixing the right oil to petrol mix? Just its time to go?
3) and does anyone have a standard Expansion chamber and muffler for a
02 CR125R ( undented )

Motors half apart already, will have to talk it out of the bike. To do the big end.
Should i also do my bottom end bearings at the same time?

I'd do the entire bottom end rebuild if I were you.

by the way you are going to need a new conrod which I think isn't a readily available item, and a beraing which is a stupid size (this is all from what I've heard)

Apparently you just get a hot crank kit - cheap on eBay.

Oh and do the crank seals too.

Bugger this is going to be expensive for you......

get hold of r2 a get hot rods crank you should be thank full you did your on a short track and not as i did 20ks from no where in a gully should be easy rebuild mine only took me two days in between answering the phone and writing up invoices

frustrating when something bad goes wrong with ya bike eh!! Hope ya find a cheap rebuild kit and get back up and running soon...

Got some prices today for the bike
1) gaskets full kit for bike $105
2) crank bearings $35 each (nned two of them)
3) conrod kit $$$$$ ringing back tomorrow to find what the is included in the kit. so will be around the $300 mark i'd say+ some more for other bits.

Just buy a hot crank - it will be quicker.

i went for complete crank as the cost of one half plus cost of getting it pressed appart and together again out weight cost of complete crank R2 if they could have done one for me was trade $$ at $280 but they dont make for the yz426f any more genunie was $570 left half that i needed was $435 then the cost of pressing it so be carefull $$ it up and get cost to press out old rod and fit new one as it can be easyer and quicker to just shell out for complete new one( hot air gun work realy well for heating bearings once in casings for nice easy fit of crank just slips on)
