Howzit Buellbabe, nice bike pics, especially the first one. I would've liked to see the show in person but the pics and write-up gave me a good idea of what it would have been like. I've only had mine a month now and would like to know where the best place to get mods and parts from, I'd like to get smaller tank covers and add a hyper filter to mine, also some carbon fibre bits would be nice too........any suggestions ???

You are about to "work to support a habit". Healthier than those living a clean respectable life. But are bored shitless and would not want to cross to our side. It's a passion they will never understand.

BB will be checking in soon, she'll have a few answers for you then i think...altho after spending the last 2 weeks on a HOT firebolt, she may be rethinking her views on Fuelframers now... I'm sure Tubers still rock for her, but the 'bolt has been an interesting experience!

yes well... my allegiance is being tested... LOVED "doing da Bolt" around the Sth island these last couple of weeks...Went into AMPS yesterday to pick up my old girl and did some serious drooling over the Black 'n Burgundy Bolt on the shop floor. Something to think about maybe?
Had to laugh when I jumped back on my own bike... the handlebars were so much higher! I felt like I was on a trail bike! And wheres that front fairing I had gotten used to ??
Gonna take her for a decent blat this weekend and remind myself why I love tubers!

yep, the maninevent was grand, but so was all the tiki touring round we've done since then, from north of Auckland to Bluff. Gonna do a whole lot of it again next year

The XB12R tank is a 14L and it will get you 200-250km... so a 16L tank, no worries.
    cheers DD

I have yet to run out, but one of the frustrating things is that I get VERY differing readings from the reserve light. I have had it come on at 160 kms (after a hard track day) and then not even come on at 250kms (after a cruisy 100kms hr ride), almost always still having around 2 litres in the tank when i do fill it up.
I think Dangerous is probably right, around the 250mark is prob correct for an average thrashing ride for the XB12R (14.4litre tank)
So the bigger tank would be closer to 300kms at a guess.

Having said that I still like to fill about the 200km mark
