Could have been my lady. She was in Newmarket today and said some lady on an Italian scooter was in riding along Broadway looking at herself in the reflection of the shop windows as she rode past. Apparently she just missed. Damn it.

A little less deliberate that the actions of the fuckwit that I attempted to pass on the way in to work the other day.
    Incident 1.
Approaching a intersection with his right indicator on. This inspires me to put my left indicator on an undertake him.
Obviously he changes his mind and swerves across my line.
Cue some short notice emergency braking practice a liberal dose of the horn and maybe a raised finger

Okay, moment behind me (except not really willing to filter past him) carry on riding to work no real malice in my heart. Just pleasure that all the practice I have done over the year has been worth it.

Incident 2. (same idiot in same BMW)
At a reasonably wide part of the road the driver says something to his passenger who looked out the back window and giggled.
He puts his hand out the window and waved me past as he moved left.
Okay says I, he has learnt a lesson and wishes to repair the balance in his Karma account.
Oh how wrong was I. As soon as my front wheel is level with his B pillar I observe his hands move to the left hand side of his steering wheel.
Being somewhat cynical of his motives I applied both brakes in what must surely be the shortest complete stop in history (mine at least). Nearly went over the handlebars the stop was so sudden.
From my perspective there was no daylight between my now stopped bike and the wildly swerving BMW.

Cue much joviality from the emotionally retarded contents of the BMW.

Part of me wanted to follow the fuckwits to their destination and rip shreds, on the other hand this is someone who was willing to kill me because I tooted and flipped him off. Dread to see how far he would go if he noticed me following him.

I can't believe you could let that slide. Fuckwit driving is one thing, deliberately trying to run somebody down is something else and he is deserving of having his house burnt down while he sleeps in it. Did you not get a number plate?

What's really funny about this is that in the 18 months I've been riding (25,000 k's) I've never had a bad run in with a car. Sure some stuff happens but no more than when I'm driving my oversized SUV.

What's wrong with you guys? Do you look for trouble or is this just bullshit cause you got nothing else to start a thread with?

Had an Incident today as well, riding down a backstreet, what was pretty much empty, saw a skyline start to pullout then slowed down and stopped, just before i passed it... guess what happens

It pulls out!!!, luckily the road was empty so i had to go on the other side of the road to avoid hitting in to the side of it.
The skyline carried up about 100m to the stop sign were it was waiting to left so i went next to as i was waiting to turn right gave her the 'sign' "WTF didnt u see me u dumb bitch".

I reckon the worst drivers are the kids my age (16-17) on there restricted, in "Boy racer" type cars e.g skylines evo's and crap like that. (worse thing is they think they can drive)
Ive followed one of these drivers for a couple km and saw that the indicated maybe once or twice.

At the time my sanity was more important.
No I was a little to shaken to get a number. Also last three times that I have reported dangerous driving the police do not care as soon as I say I was on a bike or if they do they stop caring if I am not still following them.

Ever tried to call the police from a moving motorcyle?

I can understand not getting the number, I'd be keeping an eye out for him. You wouldn't be reporting dangerous driving so much as a deliberate attempt to kill or maim. I'm sure they would be interested in that.

What? Are you concerned that you may be a driver that we mention if we keep telling these kinds of story?

I have only had about 5 - 10 incidents of this nature in 15 years (around 250,000 - 300,000kms). All of them since I have lived in Auckland. All in heavy traffic.

Well I would suggest then that you haven't adapted very well to city traffic. You know what they say, "Drive to the conditions, when they change reduce your speed."

Try slowing down and pay a little more attention. It's not a race you know.

    Description is easy.
Black BMW with Crystal after market tail lights.
    Dude is Indian about 20-25.
    Shoulder length jerry curl.
looked Like he was trying to grow a mustache.
Wearing a white wife beater, gold bracelet and cheap designer rip off sunglasses.
Girlfriend blonde, attractive but forgettable in that plastic bimbo style.

I'll know him if I see him he may not even remember me or the incident but I am pretty sure I will be able to remind him.

And there it is, the part of you that has nothing positive to say, not because there is nothing positive to say but because your own life is so pathetic you feel obliged to troll others.

    I shall indulge you, once.
Anyone who knows me well enough to be in a position to say that I should slow down with any credence would know that I am the last person to tell to slow down.
    Perhaps:
A you have led a blessed life and as such have never encountered such an experience.
B you have never lived in Auckland
C you have had thousands of these encounters and been too stupid to realise you were in danger.

In case you failed to read my thread I was riding legally, below the posted limit and at the second incident after being given a courtesy by a fellow motorist.

I indulge you for the catharsis not because I give a shit about you or your troll.
