National champs - Congrats to Scrivy and Sidecarbob

Huge congratulations to Scrivy and Sidecarbob for taking the National Championship at Puke yesterday…
No one can say that you were not challenged for the title, but like true champions you came up tops.

It was a pleasure to watch you start at Levels and finish off the way you did at Puke… I got goose bumps as you came back into the pits and everyone stood up for you and applauded. – You deserve it guys.

So yeah everybody, we have the first KB national champions on board…

That chair will look good with the number one back on it

    CONGRATULATIONS Scrivy and Bob!!
After having a go with Des, I have nothing but total respect for you guys. From a spectator POV, sidecars are my favourite to watch with 125's a close second. Thanks a million for puttin' on the Freakshow! All you sidecar guys and gals rock.

Thanks guys, I will take this opportunity to point out that Andy Scrivener has now been NZ sidecar champion six times, which has never been equalled by any other sidecar racer in NZ.
Apart from being a top guy & great mate, he is also the safest & most talented sidecar driver the sport has ever seen, Along with the legendary Dick Leppard.

As far as the racing went this year, I've never had so much fun!!

I just loved being a nutter out there!! Going sideways into and out of the corners at full speed is so much fun.
Bob and I get so much stress relief from work by racing, and it is a real bonus that we are competitive too!

I hope we put on a great show for the spectators. As they enjoy watching a good show too, and if they weren't there...... then we wouldn't have a national series.

Maybe we need to make it compusory that all teams run treaded tyres, and cut out some frame gussets...... would make for far better spectating....
