They are one awesome bike mate. I'm on my second and have never regretted buying either of them.

I had a K2 for 3 years, 40,000 kms. Loved it. Still miss the big Torque. Only downside was the budget Suzuki rear shocks. Throw some Ohlins at it and you have a cool bike. Enjoy it.
RIP Phil (Pinky) SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND.
fark...
I had the pleasure of riding a 1200 Bandit and the torque on that thing gave me a surprise... 1400?? Yeesh...
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
Key to the 1400 is to adjust the shocks properly just once and never touch them again.
The earlier ones leaked if you fiddled with the preload knob and apparently the later ones have had that problem solved, but I aren't taking chances.
Once setup right, the bike handles real good. I won't go into the front as that's on the members part of the site I gave the link to, but I am 83kgs without gear on and run the preload on five rings showing (max), damping on 4 (max) and compression on three.
Once you have the front dialled in properly as well, the ride gets harsher but the handling improves immensely and a lot depends on how you ride. If you want to cruise, just leave the settings as standard but if you like to play and have some fun in the tight stuff, get it sorted the one time and then you are right.
