Nope, don't like the new one.
It's lost its simplicity and aggression with the new styling imo...

"You are only young once, but you can stay immature indefinitely."
Have to agree. The new Z750 has lost its simplicity, which I thought gave it some of its appeal. Radiator cover bits and the 3 spoke wheels on the Z1000 just don't do it for me. Those radiator covers on the new 750 make it look too much like the 1000. Bad move Kawasaki IMHO.
However, if someone happened to swap the 04 750 outside my house with the new 1000 I think I'd get used to it.
And that new cans?! They remind me of the can on that GSX1400. Fugly at best.

I can see I will eventually have quite a collection of oddball cans in my shed!

it looks like a bug
and whoever designed the exhaust got fired....and was just finishing off his contract
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
It's the only bike that "does it for me" in the same way that the Blackbird does. When my body gets too uncomfortable on the 'bird, that's wwhat i'll be getting!
Yeah I like it but i'd have to 86 the cans for some nice carbonfibre ones.![]()
The Zed is awesome in the flesh. It rides well and with a detuned zx10 motor you'll have the grunt in the bottom end that was missing in the previous thou. It corners beautifully!
Orange is the colour to get. The black takes the sharpness of the lines out and makes it look soft.
The cans are a key part to retaining the lines of the bike. Stick round pipes on it and the bike will look stupid. With all the emission shit in it the bike is choked up. So Id recommend you de-baffle them and perf the inside and the bike will sound as good as it looks.
There are at least a couple (one orange and one black) on the roads around Wellington. The new brakes are excellent and the extra tourque is both noticable and much better than more top-end horsepower. The pipes are a bit interesting but at least they do make the bike stand out from the crowd!! The reduced simplicity of design and increased weight is a little disappointing; however, overall, its an improvement on the road and remains a striking looking machine.
