Totally diffrent mindset to racing too isn't it though? Its an extremly quik road ride rather than racing mindgame....

You got it mate, it's all in the head

What a great write up. And what a great event. How on earth did this kind of event happen in our OSH contolled land??!! Fantastic. At first I thought it was some kind of chook chaser bash up a hill... how wrong I was. Now I am really curious to at least see it if not do it next year. Bring on more info in time please.

No disrespect Cleve, but Deano's been harping on about this for some months now. It's due mostly to his efforts that the event got the coverage and entries it deserved.

Couple of years from now, when we're watching international riders battle it out on TV, he'll be able to say, "I helped build that"

No none taken, but the posts I saw were not clear that it was a "road" race. I assumed it was dirt and didn't bother much more with it... mostly my fault of course...

I just tried to write a race report, and it was all just dribble, so...

Thanks to every one that helped organise, and make the day possible, CHEERS.

Very special thanks goes to Mikey for all his support and help, he's a legend, to Flame of course for all the encouragment, and believing I could do it, also to VasalineWarrior, for the use of his wheels, making it possible to swap from slicks to wets a tad quicker. (Your front wheel was the second quickest up the hill on day one bro )

As for the racing, IT WAS THE SCARIEST, and most fun I've ever had on a bike!!!

I've never won before, and anything I try to say sounds kinda smarmy to me, so thanks to everyone for a great day, and hope to see more people there next year.
