    OI!!!! less of that thankyou, Auckland is a much better choice than turning tail and running back to the UK. At least in Auckland you can still get out easily, and be in the real country in just 1/2 an hour.

    I know what you mean about the mountains but at least you wont have to spend six hours in the morning scraping fucken ice off your windscreen up here and you can always catch the ferry back down south for a ride and a visit!!!

    here is a map of the city, 15 min north is johnsonville/newlands
    easy to get to the city in 15-20 min from there on a bike.
    Culture shock comming from Wanaka! i moved from Queenstown to here 3 years ago.

    Doesn't look like it matters where you want to live she will have the final say!

    A common trend when I go up the coast to Porirua is I leave the cloud and fog and rain to find dry roads and clear skies. Then there is the valley dont go there.
