    YIPPPPPEEEEEE I've got a bike

    Hi Guys 'n' Girls.

I've done it! I talked Wolf into getting me my very own bike.

I pick it up on Tuesday 25 March.

Yay! I'm so excited. Now I've just got to get my learner's licence to ride it.

WOOHOO, awesome bike. I LOVE IT!

By any chance did you buy it from Hamilton Motorcycles? Cause i saw someone checking out their Hyosung aquilla, i was in the shop around 11am. was going to say "Its an awesome bike, you'll love it" but that could be classed as 'flirting'

It was indeed Hamilton Motorcycles and we were in there around that time - certainly before 12.

We went back in later to seal the deal and just missed Quasi heading out - strayj doesn't know him and I was so busy getting the cubs through the door I didn't notice he'd left until this wagon pulled away so it must have been he who was heading out the door as I was heading in.

We had planned on getting strayj a bike in time for her to commute to and from University next year and we had only gone up town to look at makes and models with a view to suitability and get an idea of price and availability. Hadn't actually intended on getting a bike today (well, I hadn't, who knows what agenda my darling wife had... )

We went home, discussed it and ended up deciding to go for it now rather than wait until later. By the time she goes to university she should be well familiar with the bike.

Pretty much everyone I've spoken to about Hyosung is full of praise for the make and I've heard the engines in the GT250 Comet and GV250 Aquila are nearly identical. Apparently the GV is not as highly tuned, tho'.

Crashe: she was eyeing up a Virago in Waikato Yamaha but we got a better deal on the Hyosung.

Congratulations! And a good choice! We do need pics of course! Colour?

I was looking at them for my wife but we decided to get a bigger bike we could ride two-up first. Maybe when the Missus decides she really does want one of her own we'll look again.

strayjuliet is forgiven, for not buying the VIRAGO

Cos she did go and look and eye the VIRAGO up and only cos she got a better deal on the Hyosung.

Ok, I got the date wrong sorry, its the 27th that I pick it up - or rather Wolf rides it as far as Minogue Park, then I get to take it for a spin round the car park. Hehe, I can't wait!

It's silver and red - so it's pretty much perfect for me as my preferred color for jewellery is silver (hint).

I already love the bike and I haven't even ridden it yet, lol.

We looked at all the bike stores in Hamilton. At Road and Sport we saw an Intruder, but the price was quite high. Then we went to Boyd Honda. All they had that I could fit was a scooter. On to Supacross Cycles there was nothing suitable there we went to Waikato Yamaha where I had my eye on a Virago. Sadly, we couldn't get the finance for that so we went to Hamilton Motorcycles where I spotted my bike. It looked a good deal and we checked if we could get the finance before signing up. It came back with a "yes" and at a good rate, so we came home and had a talk about it and decided to go for it. We went back with me bouncing around in the car chanting "I get my bike, I get my bike, hehehe."

They seemed almost as happy as I was when I went bouncing back in with a grin bigger than that of the Cheshire cat.

Don't worry, there will be lots of pics to be posted once we bring my baby home
