    Easter run

looking ahead to next Sat's Easter Egg run - who's keen on another ride after its all over?? I would expect we'd be finished at the Octagon about 3:30, so a small local cruise with a pub or good coffee shop as a venue appeals to me

Whats the coffee like at Karitane - or is that too far? - Other suggestions, Larnocks Castle? or somewhere else down the Peninsula, Waihola Pub (via 3 mile hill, Outram and the back road along the foot of the Maungatuas), Taieri Mouth????

I'm up for that :-) was also going to suggest we meet up before the run

I'll probably just meet up with you at Carey's Bay around 1:30 - I've got to be seen at a school fair for a little while before the run. Based on the Toy run it seems that a lot more bikes join up at Logan Park than at Carey's Bay so its not too hard to find people out there. Having said that stick up a pre-meet meeting point and time and if I can get there I will.
SD are you coming through for this one?? What about Jantar or have you done your Dn trip for the month??

So what happened with yesterday's ride - I'm guessing it was organised by PM or txt???

Perhaps I need to circulate my mobile number (027-476-7873), or maybe invest in a new deodorant?

Cheers Dale. But such a list concerns me - where a "Dunedin KB Ride", becomes an exclusive "invitation only" ride?

Having said that, I appreciate that yesterday was a last-minute thing.

Was more than a last minute thing, it was a last minute spur of the moment thing with side ways attachments and (i forgot to recheck the KB board just before I left )...

The list (bad chooice of words maybe... added to my address book...) errr hmmm and txting... invitation only... nah, every one invited there was no intention to exclusive or invitation only... just makes it quicker to organise as not every one is on the forum at the same time especially on the spur of the moment rides like that and the forum can have a big lagg waiting for an answer. Where as texting is a bit quicker and I can group text 10 names at a time (on the pre set list which most dunedin kbers are now on I think I only need tim's cell phone and I am not sure if he has one) The thing with spur of the moment is... there were no plans... on destinations and there was a lot of ummingand arring just before hand. once decided, we texted who we knew were coming.

I ended up going for my morning ride alone, then coming back for the afternoon ride, and missing a couple of posts by minutes... http://quantumillusions.com/biker/node/358

Well, if it was your deodorant your missus would soon sort that out. you want to see the size of my missus's 'fryingpan', oddly enough, i'm a fast learner when the fryingpan comes out....then she wonders were my brain damage comes from....

No worries - just a passing observation. Your organisational input (to a disorganised rabble) is appreciated!

There was absolutely no intentions to have what may look like an exclusive group...

We had to use txting on the most part as Jantar had already left for Dunedin, before we had even decided what we were gonna do in the afternoon... We had to adjust our times for his intended arrival time in dunedin

I don't want to be organising anything, I actually hate doing it. I just want to ride... So in future some else can organise the group rides... and i just tag on them if i still welcome join in

Don't be too hard on yourself, we have to all work in with each other. there will always be blunders, mistakes etc, and there will be some things that will be out of our control. its a life thing. shit happens....
