That's totally out of order! What fucking right have you got to state shit like that when a KBer is telling a tale of good cops who are looking after bikers and getting a positive result.

Fuck you, you don't deserve to be treated with any respect by either us or 'them'. You certainly have a closed mind and no respect for anyone or anything.

Lol I think he was joking. Unless you are too? Argh, midterm tests completely destroy my sense of sarcasm

I did have that initial reaction. But I chilled out. Swearing at people here is harsh.
To split or not to split, that is the question

Yup, that's true ... you'll not find that reaction (or language) from me anywhere else but in response to that mindless offensive contribution

It'll be in the cops notebook and there will be an electronic log of your vehicle being stopped at that time.

The computer system the police run these days allows for warnings to be recorded, in fact any contact with a motorist can be recorded as an intelligence noting. Strangely enough things like the drivers attitude, particularly if it is bad, are often recorded.

A very large component of it is, but you seldom hear anything about that side of it.

"a good lesson and an improved impression of the cops"

The country could do with more cops like that to 'improve impressions', that wee tale is one of positive policing rather than blatant revenue gathering. Sure, a ticket would have been justified (80 in a fifty, tut tut) but here we have a cop exercising disrection; a rare thing in these modern times. I too have had moments where I kept my cool, kept my tongue in my head and managed to slither away with either no ticket or a lesser offence. Attitude does help sometimes, but not often, you're one lucky punter. I'll wager he was 'Police' and not 'Highway Patrol'. The 'real' Police are usually smarter and more focussed on real issues. Go buy a Lotto ticket.

Agree...I got pulled up last week in of all places Devonport. Claimed I must have been doing well over 70k as he said he had to do more than 100k to catch me up...now with a digital speedo it is more readable and I know I did not go over 70k (still over the limit) as I had been following cars at various points and had to slow when they turned off.........however, he just said that drivers in the area were crap and that was it.....okay he didn't have a reading but still respect

How you think this pig made a good decision is beyond me.

IF you had been on an open road in an unpopulated area with no other traffic around then maybe, but speeding like a twat in town is irresponsible and deserves a fucking ticket.

Especially when you admit to not even knowing what speed you were doing.

All the righteous cunts on here harp on about time and place, do you think this was the time and place for

    A) riding in that manner?
    B) a thick plod using "discretion"?

I can't see anyone else getting discretion for 160 in a 100 zone, even if it was the dead of night, on the desert rd, without any other cunt for miles.
