Reasonably easy novice ride I would have said, did you do the novice loop or the main loop?

I went round the main loop twice. Good thing all that clay was not mud! My mate dubbed another rider about 20kms back to the car park when his CRF 450 locked solid! Two up, doing that downhill, fuck that for a game of soldiers! The brakes of his yz250 were cooked when he got back!

I saw a CRF lying on the edge of the track but no rider in sight on our second lap

How did you find the big downhill where it turned off the track and went down the ridgeline?

I was liking some of the big uphill climbs pulling 3rd or 4th and in the powerband

That was the bike. Poor barstard would have had to wait until the end of the day to go in and somehow get it back.... I thought the climbs were very straight forward. No power band in my drz250! The downhill was cool. Lucky it was not wet!

Heading out to the Waimak tomorrow off Weedons Ross, have to have an operation in a week, no riding after that for 4-6 weeks so I better get in what I can

The seal behind the waterpump impeller has been leaking water into the gearbox so I thought I'd sort that out, there's also been a couple of funny noises from the clutch that need looking at

So since I got it or sometime after that the bolt and washer have been floating around inside the cover, got lucky and they didn't jam in anything and really wreck shit

Unfortunately it means today I have to ride a filthy four stroke diesel and someones lending me a WRF450 thingy

Did you have the op already ?
Lucky bugger, dodged another bullet with the bike. I'm wondering how long your luck is gonna last.
Nothing wrong with a WRF 450, I've got one, heaps of fun, bit heavier than the 2t's though.

Except they're taller, heavier, don't change directions as easily, don't think I've ever been so fucked, Yamapig is what I called it

I did swap Glenn for his Husky 510 which is a far nicer bike but once I smashed his rear brake pedal off I gave it back

    Op is tomorrow

I know what you mean about where the weight is. Mine is 2012 injected and shares the YZ 250 chassis, it's smaller and more nimble. It's not much taller than the Beta, and has a shorter wheel base when you see them on the trailer together. So it's nice and quick in the steering.
    Good luck tomorrow.

We did it last year with the grandson, he was only six and it was slow going on the TTR 50 even though he gave it heaps.
I think it'll be good enough, anyway it'll help season me for Dalethorpe later in the month.

Harden up man, should have gone out before dark tonight. Haha
I'm guessing all went well, hope so. Gives you time to get that RMX sorted while you heal. I've had that op, take it easy, they won't rush you back in if you undo the good work. You'll be on the long waiting list.
Catch ya in the near future when you're up an running.
I'm gonna change my front tyre on the Beta to a Pirelli MX extra X which I have confidence in. Currently running a Pirelli XC intermediate, I don't like it.
