He has been involved with heaps of different projects over the years, some good, some mediocre. But as a drummer he is a legend in my eyes and is the reason I decided to play the drums.:yes:

Funny you know, with all the trashy music I listen to, I have never been able to appreciate bands like this. I think Napalm Death started it for me for some reason, and I cannot seem to get over the lyrical style. Weird huh.:wacko:

Nope, not weird. I'm pretty much the same. Don't know one word in that song :lol: I automatically blank growling vocals out haha Don't mind a few like Opeth (Demon of the Fall :headbang:) and Mastodon where it's melodic at the same time, otherwise it's all the other noise I'm into.
In that Vital Remains track the intro is awesome and then the break down at 6min, it's actually kinda chill haha

Spent part of a winter going to sleep to the album this is off when I was 15. Had a sleep out where I boarded and no close neighbors, fawkin mint! Much easier than dozing on a speaker ;)

fuck thats good stuff! had to look them up, thought it sounded like pantera. i met phil anselmo, in fact the whole pantera band minus vinnie paul the drummer, back in the mid nineties, genuine nice guys, we were pissed on cheap (five finger discounted possibly) gin, they didnt seem to mind. they didnt really understand our punk tats, union jacks etc though.
looks like ive been missing a fair bit of punk on here...nice rainy day catchup! drgirl...theres pics of you in london/punk era isnt there?? :cool:

Just repurchased all those Van M albums from Astral Weeks up to Veedon Fleece.... and I was fleeced on some of them... out of print and expensive. Golden period. Don't even remember where the originals went.

Shit yeah. Particularly pleased you chose a (relatively) obscure Jason Isbell clip to illustrate that. Isn't Amanda delightful? (Shires - playing violin - she is his wife and his inspriation for getting sober). My favourite DBT era is the Hood - Cooley _ Isbell - Tucker - Morgan lineup. In fact I still have the T shirt. (so from DECORATION DAY, THE DIRTY SOUTH, A BLESSING AND A CURSE)
